I'm mixing some tracks for a sludge outfit i've been drumming with for a while.

Here is one of the tracks, was looking for some general mix critique and some ideas on how to possibly add more dynamics back into the track, specifically around 2:43 where the track slows down.
I want more of a dynamic breakdown, while the track as a whole is fairly flat.

(there ARE vocals on the track, they just dont show up for a while)

Still some editing on the toms is necessary.

The mix consists of: 2 overheads, kick, snare, 2 toms, 2 guitar tracks, bass and reamped distorted bass, and two different vocal tracks.

Cheers dude, from the mighty Phil Anselmo himself!

Any thoughts on the mix at all? I'm listening back and I think maybe the guitars are being overpowered by the kick, snare, and bass. It's all audible but not particularly enjoyable to listen.

Any opinions on it would be welcome!

Man, i fuckin love it! Maybe your bass and kick is fighting for presence and the dynamics might be a bit flat and pumpy because of this but its still listenable so great job so far.
