i simply stated that i think most of the bands on UM are better than Rush. What are we going for here? technical ability? Then yes a bunch of the bands on UM aren't as good as Rush, but then there are bands on UM that are technically and individually more talented than Rush.
I don't know what the fuck you are trying to prove here when, again i state, all i said was that i like...or i think/believe....that most of the bands on UM are bette rhtan Rush.

What the fuck is wrong with you people!? I'm simply stating that I don't like Rush as much as most bands on UM!! Holy crap! WHy are you all picking my god damn sentences apart here nad trying to put me in my place according what i know and don't know. really. who gives a shit if i've only heard a handfull of Rush, songs. i've also only heard a handfull of songs from bands on UM too! and FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD, it is my belief that they are better than Rush.

can one only voice their opinion on a band, or bands, if they have full knowledge(or quite a bit of knwoledge) of the bands discography and histroy? No! Jesus! I've heard a bunch of Rush, i've heard of bunch of metal from UM, i came a conclusion and voiced it...OH NO!

Does that have anything to do with being allowed to have an opinion. if i sent you a Quo Vadis mp3(assuming you havent heard them before) and i sent you a Crazy Town mp3 and you liked the Quo Vadis mp3 more(i assume you would), would your opinion be unimportant bullshit because you only heard a measly song and not THE WHOLE DAMN ALBUM!!! What the fuck are the requirements for musical preference and opinion these days. Perhaps one of you two elitist fucks over here should outline them for me so i can later meet your requirements when stating one of my opinions.

yes and since Rush has completely altered their sound in every decade (IE 70s rush sounds nothing like 80s Rush which sounds nothing like 90s Rush)

I do believe you should be familiar with the bands material before you shit on them.

I've heard ALOT of rush. And i don't like the band. I don't HAVE to like them simply because a few other band members like them.

The only thing that even remotely interested me about rush was hemispheres, and maybe 2112. But other than that, they aren't special at all.

Maybe in the grand scheme of things, rush was important somewhere along the line for metal and prog, but i don't like the band at all, regardless of wether WD really likes them. I don't CARE what WD likes at all. WD can suck my balls for all i care. I like nevermore, and that's about it. I don't know WD personally, and i don't worship the ground he walks on. i simply don't care what he likes. I only like what he does himself.
 
good god, well have you all heard EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR 20+ cd's? because if you haven't, you'd better not say a dman word about them...............becaus ethat would break your own rules.

I don't like Rush very much. Sure, they have a huge history and have heavily influenced the bands i like, they just don't tickle my fancy. I ENJOY THE MUSIC OF lots of bands here on UM better than I do Rush.

Can you elitists accept this ending to an arguement that will go absolutely nowhere? I fucking hope so.
