I was thinking of cavernous more as in, like it's being sung in a cave with all that echo and depth. But I suppose you're right.

You should add a category for Apocalyptic too. Stuff like Bolt Thrower doesn't really fit into these.

Yeah, bands that deal with war themes or science fiction tend to have vocalists that don't quite fit into any of those categories in my opinion.

Bolt Thrower vocals would fit into 'angry' category. Suffocation also fits better into 'gory' than 'angry'.

im thinking of taking out certain categories and using adjectives that describe vocals a little better
like instead of angry and insane, raspy and guttural sound better
that way bands like morbid angel and bolt thrower have a place on the chart as well

Yes raspy would be altars era morbid angel and similar, suffocation would be moved to guttural and cryptopsy included, growly is the most common death metal style the pitch just varies, cavernous category stays, then there's screamy for at the gates, death, etc

well since its death metal i dont imagine to find super clean vocals, just something thats admittedly softer than ever other band you know

Apart from the usual melodeath bands mixing growls and clean vocals, the cleanest stuff I can think of is on Martyr - Feeding The Abscess.

There's also Act of God - The Place Of Worship with operatic vocals, but it's more black than death.

I'd put Opeth on there as well. Mikael Akerfeldt's are pretty demonic.
