Got this yesterday. Watched some of it this morning. The gig is obviously good, as we've all heard, but once again Mr Harris edits the show with a chainsaw. There's like a cut a second, and it's quite annoying, perhaps moreso than Rock in Rio. But at least he tones it down on the slower songs like Dance of Death.

I couldn't really hear Janick's guitar at all (some might say that's a bonus) which means no guitar solo from him in Dance of Death. Also, the picture started playing up during Brave New World, which didn't really surprise me as there have been reports of problems with the PAL version... but then I've got quite a few discs that won't play properly on my dodgy Pioneer so it's as good an excuse as any to finally invest in a new one.

The 75 minute documentary is excellent though, especially the tour stuff. That's the highlight of the package for me.

So yeah. $25 at HMV, cos JB didn't have it yet.

I was hopeing that there would be less cuts, that annoyed the living shit out of me when watching RIR... made it unwatchable sometimes for my eyes :(

The cutting is shocking on the first song, but after that Steve seemed to settle down, at least this time he let us see a few seconds of who was doing a solo, over all I prefer it to RiR

Ordered it online for $30 (including shipping), which I thought was a good pickup. The concert is great (brings back a lot of memories of seeing 'em last year), but I do agree that there's a few too many cuts and the glitches can get annoying. Only watched a little bit of the special features, they look pretty solid as well.

Got mine yesterday, would agree with you Southy the cutting is pretty bad in the first song (like a montage of the whole concert in one go) after that it very, good shits on RIR in that aspect.. Have'nt seen any of the special features.
Why did they realese it in stereo and 5.1 mix on two seperate dics. does that make it better quality or what ?

I held it in my hand, then I put it back on the shelf. I've never done that with a Maiden release I don't have before. Damn this no money crap.

Bucko, yeah. I think Steve said that if they went with the 5.1 and stereo soundtracks on the one disk then the picture quality would suffer, so they just put it on two instead.

Phlogie, cheers for that, though that was it. Yes its a pity having no dough I agree. There is a quite a bit of Maiden stuff I don't have for that same reason

I've done it with every Maiden release since Rock In Rio - and not because of money, but quality. :(

I've started downloading it.
I didn't know Prowler was in the setlist. :p

The cuts in RIR were annoying as fuck, but I got a little used to them after watching it for a while. I can't believe Steve would be stupid enough to make the same mistake again, but anyway. If it gets better after the first song, it can't be too bad. I will get this at some stage.
