Defiance and Sadus

what do u guys think on these 2 albums? is it worth it?

Defiance - Product of Society
Sadus - A Vision of Misery

Fuck yes it is worth it. (Who in their right mind would say no?)

Big Steev who's singin for Skinlab sang for the last 2 Defiance records
Void Terra Firma and Beyond Recognition. I wasn't a big fan of the first
singer who sang on Product of Society but if you're big on Bay Area thrash
and you like collecting rare stuff, grab it.

As for Sadus, most of Vision of Misery was put on Chronicles of Chaos
except for 2 songs (I think) but if you collect bay area music that is out of
print and/or otherwise hard to find...go for it. My 2 favorite Sadus discs
were 1.Swallowed in Black and 2. Vision of Misery.

Defiance is good stuff. I prefer Beyond Recognition and Void Terra Firma. Product of Society is good but just marginal. It lacks that real crunchy guitar sound I love. As for Sadus all are good but I prefer Elements of Anger.A lot of people give Defiance shit cause they think Steev is trying to copy Chuck and all that. Whatever! A good vocalist is a good vocalist. Poeople used to say that Chuck sounded like James. Now look at the two bands. Testament is KILLING Metallica! The only band from that time who is getting heavier (besides Exodus) and maintainig is Testament. Anyone disagree?

I thought Elements of Anger was sub-par Sadus compared to what they
used to do. Maybe it was rushed, I dunno. It just didnt sound like they were
into it.

I never got those lame gay ass comparisons between Chuck
and Steev and thought it was just music critic crap because Chuck and Steev
are bay area guys and did thrash. Anyone who digs the music isn't
gonna bother with the sound-a-like stuff.

I'll agree with you that Exodus is pretty heavy.

new Death Angel sounds like AC/DC pop metal.

Metallica hasnt been shit in 15 years...they don't matter.

Testament held their own with Gathering and FSSD but who knows what
they are doing with the new material. Nobody says anything.

Machine Head returned to roots with their latest TTAOE and this is worth
mentioning, -dont count out the Head! - and don't forget

NEW VIO-LENCE STUDIO RECORD THIS SUMMER.

r u serious? :ill:

you didnt hear DJ Will (or whoever) playing those songs on the Exodus
webcast last week? New Death Angel sounds nothing like old Death Angel.
FACT.

I *LOVE* old Death Angel but I'm taking a pass on the new Death Angel.

I don't think I'll pass on the DA, but the Good Officer don't lie, it is less thrashy than their old shit, but that song was pretty cool.

I'll take Elements of Anger over A Vision of Misery. Misery sounds kinda disjointed -thrashy, yes, but chaotic.

Heard that Machine Head tune on the Exodus webcast, and I was impressed. Must get.

Old Death Angel=Coke
New Death Angel=Caffiene free diet Coke.

Caffiene free diet Coke= BLARGH.

The chaotic element was why I loved VOM.

You can download Machine Head's TTAOE off the net. I did a couple months
ago.
