... I wonder if anyone at the studio ever heard of the terms "Mixing and Mastering?"

Though the songs seem well written (for deicide), the song titles are cheesy ("Homage for Satan" and "Crucified for the Innocence"), and the lack of any polish makes this EP a waste of time...

On a side note, have now heard 3 songs (Cult, Jihad, and Eyes of the Insane) from the new Slayer... good songs, bad vocals. Still, I'm quite happy to have some more thrashy sounding songs (Eyes of the Insane has a nice "South of Heaven" title track sound too...).

I'm listening to the new Slayer 3 song demo/ep/sampler thingy right now, and so far I like "Cult". It's nothing outstanding or incredible, but it's classic Slayer. It fits right in with Diabolus In Musica I think, but with mildly better mixing.

Now I'm listening to Eyes of the Insane ... not too impressed. Even when I'm in the mood for Slayer I doubt I'd listen to this. It's too simple, even for them.
