Deicide

Think I got.. 1,2,3...4.. 5 albums, yes.

I used to like the energy outbursts in a way, but
haven't listened to them much the past year. It's ok
sometimes but gets boring real quickly... oh I got
that live album as well... make that 6...

The first 3 albums rule (Deicide, Legion, OUTC), I'd recommend getting them in reverse order of release. The playing on Legion is insane (some of the best double kick work I've heard). The one after OUTC, Serpents Of The Light is much in the same approach as OUTC, so if you really love Once.. (which I do, it's one of my favourite albums), then Serpents... may be a good one. Their last 2 (In Torment In Hell and Incineratehymn) are ones to get last, they were rushed out so the band could get out of their record contract, In Torment... was recorded and mixed in 4 days, and it's pretty shit (couple of good songs). Incinerate.... has some good stuff, but if pretty much Deicide-by-numbers, the songs are all in the same format as Once... and Serpents.. and to be honest it gets a bit boring.
Their old stuff is awesome though.

oh yea.. thanks man.. this is helpful

Deicide's first two albums were massive for the time period they were released, and I think Legion still holds up today.

Once Upon the Cross I thought was horribly dumbed-down from Legion, with statements from the band making it sound like Legion confused their fans. Seeing what happened to the band from that point, I think they just got lazy.
