Not liking the blastbeats. Hope the new album isn't full of them. The production sounds like crap. Overall very forgettable.

I agree with the above - blast beats are for black metal. In death metal they're usually annoying.

Yes, and Steve Asheim doesn't really get much credit for his blastbeats, he's usually overshadowed by the more faster drummers.

I know, I wasn't directing that at Deicide, more so just stating that they can be bad in some cases.

Yes, if they sound shitty. Because, say, the drum sound is irritating. In which case they definitely can be bad.

That track had black metal sounding blast beats on a death metal song. Fail. That sound was horrible.

The blast beats on that song were one of the things I liked about it. What I didn't like about the song was the repetition. It sounded like it would be a good filler track instead of a first single.
