That's almost exactly what I was going to say. RTC is the freshest death metal album I've head in a while. And the more I play Deliverance the more I love it.

So, it's more like your lack of appreciation for the kind of music Bloodbath represents than Deliverance being better than Resurrection Through Carnage.

Also, most DM isn't bollocks.

When you consider that Bloodbath is basically a ripoff of about 10 years of Death Metal history, note the RIPOFF part, you would have to think the originals must be as good, and better even.

I think you just like Bloodbath because it has Mikael in it.

Not because it's Death Metal.

And don't like it.

Only listen to it because of Mikael.

But that's fine, if your not a DM fan, that is FINE, I don't mind, but don't slag off a genre you don't understand.

yeah ok,first off RTC is not a rip off,but i guess it is in some sense seems that the album is an ode to old school DM,so its intention is to be "like" other DM.And ive heard shit loads of DM and i do stand by my opinion of saying that most of it is bollocks.Like i said,its very hard to make a good DM album,i say this because when i listen to the average DM band,i find it very boring repetetive music.And when i do hear a DM album that i like,the band tends to be very talented musicians who know how to make creative music that actually has something to grab your attention to make it stand out from all the other DM out there.And that usually goes toward making a great album.

Im talking about bands like Decapitated,At The Gates,Carcass,Morbid Angel,Malevolent Creation,Eternal Gray,Vader,Nile and Bloodbath.Bloodbath is a great DM album,with really original guitar sound/style,brilliant technicality based on all aspects and parts ot there songs,and most of all there is no annoying repetetiveness to it.Now you tell me what makes bands like IMMOLATION,SUFFOCATION,CRYPTOPSY,CANNIBAL CORPSE,MORTICIAN,KATAKLYSM etc etc so great,because i dont find anything about them interesting or attention grabbing in the least.I like alot of DM,but 70% of it is crap imo.

And yes i was interested in Bloodbath because of Mikael,and so is 80% of this board.But i wasnt expecting it to be such a good album to be honest,i downloaded the three track e.p. and thought it was just ok,like alot of other DM.And then i got a download of the album and i liked it straight away.The style and sound of it grabbed my attention unlike other DM.

And i understand DM perfectly thanks.
