Demon!

"How about you make us a song that sounds like opeth and show us how easy it is. You have an added advantage, since you aren't coming up with the great idea."

I loathe this argument. I mean, I love Opeth, but that is the most idiotic argument ever. And aside from that, everyone remember that Mikael is going to be on the new Ayreon album, The Human Equation, and may I add, most likely, THE BEST AYREON! BETTER THAN ELECTRIC CASTLE YOU ASK? HELL YES! GO GET IT WHEN IT COMES OUT, OR DIE! DIE! DIE!

yeah its totally just mindless noise, with simple verse-chorus-bridge forms
Simple music can be great music, if you know how to convey different ideas and atmospheres across etc. Complex music with death/clean vocals and acoustic guitars and hippie stuff thrown in for variety doesn't necessarily mean it's automatically great. Opeth's songs and especially their ballads are absolutely boring. They're just good for metalheads that wanna feel superior to others cause they listen to "intelligent" and "complex" stuff but are too "brutal" to listen to that prog shit.

Um.... i listen to a lot of prog, and i don't think i am "brutal"... and if you add differet ideas and atmospheres, etc, then in a way the music is no longer simple.... Complexity isn't just in the song structures
