i only own their third album, "symbols for the blue times" and i think its a great album (once you learn to ignore the lyrics - i usually dont give a fuck about a few grammar bummers, but this is really terrible!).

apparently they have reunited, if thats the right word for it. the lead singer is the only original member, and i just heard some of their new songs on their website and theyre ABSOLUTE CRAP!!!

any old fans here? and what do you think of their old/new music?

I can be considered an "old fan", since i bought "Electric Scum" when it was released in late 1996. Overall Depressive Age is one of my favourite bands, i love their technical, yet emotional, prog/thrash of the first 2 albums, the weirdeness of "Symbols..", and the true progressive spirit of "Electric Scum", which is imo the "Rage For Order" of the 90s. I liked the new tracks very much, different yes, but only Lubitzki remains of the old lineup. I just expected unique and emotional music, and thats what i got.
One of the truly underrated bands of the 90s, in the same league as many many other lost prog metal heroes.
