Deus Ex: Human Revolution Trailer

Nic - believe me when I tell you, despite the aged gameplay and REALLY aged graphics (not to mention horribly slow first level, you wanna talk about the anti-hook, Deus Ex defines it), Deus Ex is a fucking masterpiece - so goddamn good, the writing and story are so immersive, I can't recommend it enough (JC Denton is my fucking man :kiickass: )

I wondered when you'd be weighing in on this thread.

I'll definitely get it off Steam once we move and get our net connected back up.

Yeah dude, there's really no game I could recommend any higher - and now that I've watched the trailer, I have to agree with Gareth about my apprehension of "Episodes 1-3" syndrome (prequels made with vastly superior tech looking more advanced than the game their supposed to be set before), but I also agree with their hearts being in the right place; I just honestly hope there's a good amount of canonical tying-in

And FTR, I thought Invisible War really carried the story and writing of the first along well; it was mainly the lack of a satisfying conclusion (and the tiny level sizes) that bugged me (and when I say lack of a satisfying conclusion, I mean that I feel they went too far with the whole giving you a choice thing, because you had the option to side with three factions or kill them all, for a total of 4 endings, but all of them kinda sucked, whereas at least in the first there were definable good and bad guys)
