that's what I was thinking but I'm not sure. Seems like a cool idea to record a third guitar track that's wet only.
 
So do you double down the rhythm guitar parts with the octave as Devin does in this video? Any thoughts on doing that?. Personally i used to quad track, but now i only record two takes, but i experimented a little with doubling with the octave and it sounded more defined and clear, but my question then becomes do i do this on all types of riffs? i can see that becoming difficult for me for some of my riffs, so is it then better to not do it so the guitar sounds consistent throughout a song?
