DI issues

I'm having an issue with my DI levels. I'm using EMG 81's and the TSE X30 plug in(which is awesome). I am trying to record a chugga chugga part but whenever I apply the fx as a new take, the effected take always clips. I am not sure how to go about lowering my DI levels, I'm not sure if that's even what I'm supposed to do lol.

What I'm trying to say is, how do I render an effected take without it clipping.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be cool.

Lower output level in X30... or render to 32 bits (even with clipping).

what di box/preamp/interface you running? you got your EMG 81 in 9v or 18v mode?

If your DI's aren't clipping then you just need to turn down the output level on the amp sim.
