So I am recording my DI tracks for my bands new album. Using Les Paul studio>countryman>Mbox Even with the mic pre set at the lowest level I still get a peak or two in really heavy parts in a few songs. I was tracking it while just going through amp sims and can't hear them peak, but when I listened to the plain DI track I hear em. Will this be a big issue in re-amping since the amp sim doesn't crap out on them?

+1. I was actually using a similar setup today. Hit the pad up and you're golden.

Average -12 and peaks at -6 is what I shoot for, to maintain proper gain-staging later down the line =D

Umm, Countryman has a -46dB pad with the switch in Speaker-mode, should be enough?
