I heard a few clips by them a while ago and they were pretty good...but for some reason I didn't look into them further. I think those names like "Rider on the Bonez" and "The Zkeleton Keyz to the Dead" kind of turned me off at first. What is with those z's? Looks goofy to me. I'll be sure to check them out again though.
they are a great band. i have deaths design and nightwork and they are both good albums. you guys should buy some of their albums (if you dont already have them) cause they are pretty good. Even though rider on the bonez sounds goofy, its a really good song.
It's very much Blackheim's (Anders Nyström) project together with a couple of guys from THRONE OF AHAZ.
I never realized how many projects Swano has made. Amongst others he has produced for KATATONIA, OPHTHALAMIA, DARK FUNERAL, THEATRE OF TRAGEDY, MARDUK, and of course OPETH's best 2 albums.
Katatonia members have all been involved in a bunch of projects. Same for In Flames. What's up with Swedes these days?
nope, he wanted to do deaths design because hed never done anything like a soundtrack before, Blackheim said he probably wouldnt have done it if Swano wasnt so enthusiastic about it. deaths design is an awesome album, the band thought they had to release it, even once they'd heard the film wasnt gonna be made, they'd but a lot of work into it, and said they had to release it. Blackheim does loads of stuff in deaths design, it says on the inside bit, cant be bothered to go upstairs and find it though, theres also an orchestra in there.
im still searching for their other stuff, not easy to find.
On "Ravendusk in my heart" and "The Phantom Lodge" he does some Heavy metal vocals!!!! and the production together with Blackheim
On "Nightwork" he plays the drums and some Keyboards if i am not mistaken
On "Death's Design" he does many things, but doesn't play the drums...
