Maybe I'm hearing things, but when I hear the first album by Blakkheim's Diabolical Masquerade project, "Ravendusk in My Heart", some parts of the riffing remind me a LOT of Orchid/Morningrise-era Opeth. Anyone else hear it Am I crazy?

I have heard that album only once, so I can't really comment.
I think the strings on Death's Design sound A LOT like Fear Factor's (you know the tv show) background music. I acknowledge that the theme's used are really ordinary suspense themes, BUT STILL...

Hmm. Now that you mentioned it, I can hear what you mean. There aren't many sections, which are similar though.
BTW. Would you tell me how many pages there's in your inlay leaflet? I have two pages, but it looks like someone has torn at least one page off. Sad if it's so.

A lot of Diabolical Masquerade's songs, Death's Design excluded, have similar dynamics and contrasts to Opeth, though the effect which they produce is a lot different.
