So, after gathering a big bunch of mix tricks etc, here's my first full recording with all the tricks I've learned
Guitars:
Engl Powerball + Engl Vintage 2x12" (Celestion V30)
Schecter 007 Blackjack
Settings on Engl:
Channel 3 (Lo Lead)
Gain: 2
Low Bottom: On
Bass: 4
Mid-Focused: 10
Treble: 7
Channel Volume: 10
Presence: 6
Depth Punch: 6
Master Volume: 1
Quad tracked and with an ace in my sleeve - I'll let you guess what I used to boost the amp
Bass
Just for fun and with no bass guitar available, done on the guitar sound with a bit darker tone and 3rd pickup switch position out of five and pitch shifted down an octave
It actually turned out pretty decent on a full mix
Drums on... I'll let you guess ;P
Then after mixdown, just a small LinMB Basic Adaptive thingy at -0.3 dB
