Did Jonas ever intend to be a vocalist?

I apologize, but I don't read many metal zines or anything and I'm curious as to whether Jonas ever though the would be the vocalist for Katatonia. If I'm not mistaken Jonas was the drummer in early Katatonia correct? I feel dumb asking this since I've been a Katatonia fan since DODC.

I was under the impression that Anders did the vocals for DODS...but at any rate I guess it doesn't matter now. Jonas is doing the vocals and that is fine with me.
