i say no. the us gov't blew up women and children before, and they continue to do it now. americans hated dirty ragheads before, and they continue to now (maybe just a little more). the only real difference i see is that more people hate america now than they did before 9/11/2001. how the fuck did that happen!?!? that's a rhetorical question btw. :Smug:

either way, sucks for anyone who has suffered because of what happened then, american or otherwise.

i'm being like, inundated with it on yahoo.com so i thought i'd bring it up. :p

oh yeah the worst part for my personal selfish life on 9/11/2001 was that slayer released their worst album EVAR and i paid like $20 for the limited edition version.

So I'm listening to those Unholy songs, Erik. Pretty good, but which album should I buy first? I was thinking Rapture but is the song For The Unknown One fairly representative of the rest of the album?

nah. nothing changes. what amazes me is that 1) bush, probably the worst president in history, was re-elected and 2) a majority of americans fell for the lie that osama bin laden has something to do with iraq and 3) a majority of americans continue to support a meandering, pointless war in iraq while our debt continues to increase by the billions

i'd like to know this too. i liked those samples you uploaded a long time ago.

i didn't even realize it was sept 11 today. i generally shun recognizing such occasions as i see them mostly as opportunities for shallow patriotism.

WTC death toll: 2752
Iraq death toll: >10,000

i thought the iraq toll was closer to 30,000. yes i know that fits in to your "greater than 10,000" but still. :loco:

they should've planebombed the mcdonalds hq instead, that would've really shaken up the country. wait, i think that building is not very far from me, nevermind.

btw i decided that these are the greatest sausages ever made:

god damn small picture. fuckin emeril's chicken and apple sausage. they are UNRULY.

Watching Bill Maher the other night.... some black woman on the panel said something poignant: "After 9/11, we were all Americans, unified and strong. After Hurricane Katrina, we were pretty much just my pals all over again".

But hey, to all you poor people getting fucked over in the red states right now....you voted for him, not us. I'm sure those "moral values" are coming in real handy as your house sinks deeper underwater. :loco:

well you know it's more important that the government keep a man from fucking another man in the ass than provide adequate disaster preparation and relief. can't wait for that rapture! any time now! jesus is coming back....no, seriously, he is, i know we've been saying it for 2000 years but this time we really mean it! really! hey stop, where are you going?

haha

edit: and in response to the original: the only thing that changed is a few airports bought some new metal detectors. Thats about it.

I think what's really changed is how the world views us, and even to some extant, how we view each other.

I also watched Bill Maher on Friday. I thought that woman made a good point; we were one America after 9/11. Not only was there a sense of harmony and togetherness here, but there was a lot of good will and sympathy for us abroad. We've squandered that. Actually, we've pissed all over it. Our current administration is the most incompetent buch of fuck-ups on the planet. The damage they've done to our country, in five short years, will remain immeasurable for years to come.

In a perfect world, Bush would be impeached and tried as a war criminal. It's utterly amazing the shit the Republicans put Clinton through for so, so, so much less.
