I bought PT 9 LE upgrade, and I was going through the process of registering it online, and was asked for my hardware serial. So I pop upstairs and my Digi 003 has had the serial number come off!

Would anybody be so kind to give me their Digidesign hardware serial, or know of a way to get the serial from connecting it to my computer?

Avid's help system sucks huge dicks, so if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.

It looks like you are in a darkened area of the cinema looking at MJ....while that's nice and all, I don't see how it helps my predicament...;)

Call Digi/Avid support and they should be able to help you. Especially if you registered your hardware when you purchased it. The serial number can also be found in your product documentation and/or the product box.

It's not suggested anyone give you their product serial number as it will shank them in the future.

There are quite a few people on here who know who I am, and not some kind of claart who is going to fuck them over.

If by some chance someone doesn't use PT with the serial or isn't planning to upgrade to PT 9 or has two 003s or whatever stipulation, they may be kind enough to let me have it.

If anyone thinks I'm lying, I'll happily take a pic of the bottom of my Digi 003. As I said, if there is a way find the serial via a computer, I won't need one.

I've rung them for the past few hours and no one has answered, will obviously keep trying.

Will check my Avid account, but I couldn't find anything. As far as the documentation is concerned, I'm pretty sure mine is long gone.

Like Tim just said...it should also be in your documentation. I've never bothered looking at the back of mine for the serial number, as I know there's a sticker right there in the owner's manual.

That serial is functionally worth $350 off of ProTools 9 and to my knowledge you can't use a serial more than once. That's a huge favor to ask.
Also, in the scheme of DAW manufacturers Avid's phone support is quite good.

Found the serial on the back of the unit, but it isn't labelled so......thanks for all the jokes. They all really helped.

Or could you just not read?

I just said thanks for the jokes. I didn't pass over the actual help, I replied to some of the ones you highlighted.

Just a bit a lol. lol.

Right, because we're dumb enough to miss the sarcasm in your "thanks" ...

Funny how I didn't see any of these people on here that know you so well jump in to help or even vouch for you

Whatever, hope it all worked out for you like it seems it did. Now make sure to copy that serial info and whatever else into a couple locations so you always have access to them
