Hi there!

Does any of you use hardware inserts with the 002?
How do you work with external hardware inserts?
My main issue is the bloody delay when trying to process a track in protools (6.4 LE)
It's my first serious mix made completely ITBox and the concept is completely different from using an external mixer. I mean I've done it before but just a few demos or songs.
I've read a few comments in the DUC but drowned myself in a discussion where people is arguing and complaining about digirack not having automatic tracking delay.:erk:
Even thou I hope there's a way around to deal with hardware inserts with the 002?!?
Thought about recording the efx (reverb/pitch/delay) and then drag it or somethin'?!
But this can be a pain in the ass if I want to use an external compressor for example.
Any thoughts? Any help is very welcome!
Thanx in advance!!

I occasionally run things through my sansamp as an insert. Generally I track the effect rather than using it on the fly. That said I've monitored stuff on the fly returning it to an aux and I don't recall the delay being problematic.

MR NINE -> The only way to prevent phase issues is to record into a new track and nudge back where it was suposed to be. Like people at DUC were complaining 002 does not have ADC... so, tracking + nudging is the only way to go. Actually you could delay all your others tracks with time adjuster but I don´t think it´s a better option. Good luck, you´re about to start hating PTLE. Welcome to the club...

s much as i like using HD I just switched from LE to Cubase at home because of the same exact goddamn reason as this thread

just nudge the track
its easy
not when you're working with softsynths and samplers and you'd like to be able to create the MIDI tracks in time with the rest of the session. Create DFH buss tracks is virtually impossible without printing the tracks, which I do not see the point of suffering over when I have Cubase readily available

Hey thanx for the support!
I know that using the option of nudge can work; I was really hopping that someone could came with some sort of different option or wathever to handle it  but thanx anyway!

Your almost there (quoting) "...Good luck, you´re about to start hating PTLE. Welcome to the club..."
I really HATE it for a few reasons one of them is that continuous fuckin' dropout where you get the message "... increase/decrease buffer size..."
Fuck it!!!
I'm thinking about creating a site under the name "www.protoolsLEreallysucks.com":puke: :puke: :puke:

Oh and thanx to everyone for the support!
I'm thinking about selling most of the stuff I have and buy an HD system but those fuckers at digidesign are really getting their fat asses full of dollars with the sweat & blood of other people!
The price they're asking for their stuff is really ridiculous expensive compared with other hardware/software/systems.
I'm frustrated that's what!!!
But what can I do?!!
I like the bloody interface!...
AAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!...

PS- I'm going to listen to Brutal Truth's "Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses"!...

:zombie:

yeah those goddamn buffer dropouts make me want to shit a brick. I'll sometimes track and mix an entire session with only two or three dropouts but then when I go to bounce the file it starts dropping out every two minutes and it takes me a full day just to do the goddamn bounce:mad:

Hey there! The Broodwich!!
How is cubase working with the 002rack?
No problems between software & hardware?!
Please let me know?! Thanx!
