I have heard these are pretty good modelers. Plus you can get a cd with 600+ patches, presets and new amp models.

Anyone tried one of these?

I had one for about a year. The ampsims and cabsims TOTALLY slay the GT-8 and the effects are OK but not as good as the GT-8. It has a WARP functionallity where you can blend different amp models and save them as a new hypermodel which you can warp with other amp models/hypermodels to make an endless amount of ampsims. Same thing can be done with cabs. The Supermodels disk you refer to is a MUST. The ampmodels and cab models are far better than the stock Digi ones. I cannot confirm how close they sound to the actual ones. I couldn't get the Krank ampmodel to sound too close to my actual amp, but that was probably just me. I kept the GT-8 for the effects.

If you're going to be using a sim with impulses, I've heard a few things with Amplitube 2 and impulses that slay the shit out of most things I've been able to try.
