Dimmu Borgir - Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia

hmm. personally i think this album fucking rules and so does dimmy borgir. dimmu was the band that got me into this type of metal, and they're still my favorite. They're masters of dark atmospheres Nicholas is a fucking awesome drummer (although i do think he should use triggers a bit more sparingly). I think Shagrath has an awesome, brutal voice, and vortex offers a nice contrast to it with his clean, epic sounding voice. in the future i'd like to hear some songs by dimmu with vortex's vocals emphasized just as much as Shagrath's, like in "Burn in Hell", only more-so.

as for you people that find them boring, needless to say its a matter of opinion, but that fucking baffles me! i nearly ejaculated in my pants when i first heard "masses for the new messiah"! and mourning palace-- holy shit what an amazing song! there songs are so anthemic.... they're timeless and i never tire of them. all in all i think they're a great band.
