Wut, not a Soilwork thread?!

but seriously now, I haven't heard this in a longgggggggg time but it's really great. Pretty sure it was David who made me listen to them years ago? Confirm/Deny

yeah, I went digging threw my CDs which I keep in storage and decided to dust this one off today along with Arch Enemy - Burning Bridges, Death - Human and Ark - s/t.

hurray for nostalgia!

On a related note, Bury Me An Angel is such an awesome song. Actually there are like 5 awesome song from the first three arch enemy albums that almost justify their existence. Too bad all their songs aren't like that.

man, i havent listened to this in years! ill have to put it on later when i have time.
listened to it, yeh it fuckin rules! in fact, why is this not hailed as a swedish melodic death classic?! i read somewhere in the past that michael amott actually wrote a lot of the riffs for this even though its chris' band? dunno if thats true, but it doesnt really sound like arch enemy.

He did, yes, says so in the liner notes.

You ever hear Spiritual Beggars? Mike's side project, and doesn't sound much like AE either. He's versatile aside from the fact AE is stale as shit.

yeah I can't say I hate it, but I haven't listened to an AE album all the way through since Wages of Sin.

I love the first three though.

I'm not sure how I feel about the melodic singing Armageddon, I remember not liking the album and selling it, but that's probably more because it didn't sound like this one. Maybe I'll download and have another listen.
