Dissection

What's happening with them? Why are they (and megadeth) still in the "departed" section of this board? I downloaded the sample of the new song "Mahatma Ghandi" or whatever it's called and, to be frank, it's a bit shit - nothing like their previous stuff. Bit too melodic.
I'm surprised no one here has mentioned them, considering their two albums are regarded as classics.

id go in this order for albums: Storm of the Light's Bane (1995), The Somberlain (1993), The Past Is Alive (1997) (havent heard this one though)

Well for starters Dissection and Megadeth both have official forums elsewhere, forums at Ultimate Metal aren't free you know.

Yeah, I like Dissection, but i don't think the new one really is good.

Well, i like both of the albums (SOTLB and The Somberlain). But i'm more into the Somberlain now. Just get both, they are pretty awesome.

Same here. I like Storm of the Lights Bane a lot, but currently Somberlain is choice.

I've got the single. The new song is OK, but takes a while to get decent.

Even I was shocked upon first listen, and I love the Gothenburg sound. I guess I had to let the female vocal section sink in to realize the purpose of the song's odd rhythm and now it's all good.
