DIVINITY new album mix

Dual tracked. It would have taken me forever to quad, ha ha.

What slate sample did you use on the kick and snare ? Again superior sounds pretty good.

I am quite tired of quad tracking as it takes so much time and my stuff is way easier the the Divinity material. even if its a audiohammer massive reamping, i must do some demoing of dual tracking.

It sounds hugely amazing!!

Fuck no, more like Strapping Young Lad. Seriously, there are so many elements in this song that totally remind of SYL. The choise of drum beats, the vocals are VERY cool and Devin Townsend-like, and the overall feel.. just yells "SYL!" all over the place.

And let me tell you something... I LOVE SYL SO FUCK YEAH!

Keep it up :)

I see what you mean, but a lot of the licks are full on SikThish!

Excellent work. You guys are INSANE!!! :hotjump:

Brilliant........

Thanks y'all...definitely a fan of both bands. :kickass:

Thanks. Kick is a blend of Kick 15 and Black kick for the punch. Snare is a blend of Snare 2 and Dream Snare. Both are filtered and blended in Slate, then bussed out and EQd and compressed from there.

I've pretty much always double tracked and it works for me, I would consider quad tracking on some other material though for sure.

I was waiting for my new account to make a comment, but it is taking ages.

Sounds awesome man! Mix has great punch, but isn't harsh and the music is fantastic. Really digging it and looking forward to the album. Blackmachine bros unite!

I love everything that you do man, I bought "Allegory" yesterday (after listening to "Plasma" on youtube and other songs on your myspace page countless of times!) from iTunes and I love it! I'm definitely gonna buy this new one aswell.

Oh, and please make more videos with your awesome Blackmachine and BFR JP7, maybe do some of your tunes? That would make me a very, very happy man :worship:

I really love this band, great tunes, production and musicianship.
The first album was the titties.
I hope you do an Enditol album after this man cause that stuff was mindblowing as well.:worship:

I definitely will do an ENDITOL album after this...everything is almost done. Vocals are just being finished then I can do the final bits and mix.

Oh and dude, if you could, mind taking a pic of your guitars (like a family photo) so we (atleast me) can fap to them!?!? thanks!:notworthy

PS. any more Broke Band episodes coming up btw?

Hoolllleey. I felt like the producer guy when Dethklok played him the tracks they were working on in the Submarine.

Hah...nothing i like more then giving other dudes boners! yeah i will hopefully do some more Broke Bands stuff when i have some more time again...

This is totally awesome!

I've never heard Sikth but I am a huge SYL fan and this sounds a lot like it, in a very good way.

This is seriously, an absolutely amazing song man. Keep it coming for sure!

I love this stuff!
It got serious SYL vibe and whole song sounds like it could be on SYL's record, but this sure is a bit more complex and got some characteristics that are different from SYL. Alhought singers voice don't help me convince that I'm not listening some mr. Townsend's song.

So it comes close to some Devin's stuff, but who cares...Nevertheless this is awesome piece of music!

Thanks! But i honestly dont think we sound THAT much like SYL...definitely some big differences there IMO. Maybe you need to hear some other songs...Our singer will be happy to hear you say that though. :tickled:

Yeah, I think we're going a bit overboard with the whole SYL thing, yeah ok there are parts, but I'm sure he's getting sick of hearing that guys

Anyway, killer stuff man, can't wait to check out the whole thing and if it's on iTunes you can bet I'll be purchasing a copy! :kickass:

+1, you guys have your own sound and you are a lot more technical than SYL.
