I'm gonna update the youtube description with links on what I use. The wood stuff in the middle of the snare is just a few random pieces of wood stacked up on eachother. You have to make it high enough so that the foam on your trigger sticks out passed the rim a tiny bit.

You can run the 1/4" cables directly into your interface and trigger off the audio that the triggers produce.

Might have to do a show off of mine and how I did it. Mine required no permanent modification of the shells, however I know my build cost more so there is that...
