Djarum Blacks: Revisited

I used to smoke them when I was a wee little lad thinking they where all dark and cool and black and all that, also I thought they gave me a mega-buzz and stuff.

Well I bought a pack for oldtimes sake, and the novelty of the taste is wearing quite thin, and the buzz...well...there is almost none. Buzzkill deluxe.


And in related smoking newz: I've been smoking to much latley and have decided to go back to filterless Lucky Strikes for just this reason. "WTF?!" You may say! But lo! There is logic behind such a decision. The un-filtered deliciousness of a Lucky Strike ciggerette hits you a bit harder then a regular, filtered, ciggy. Therefor you need less of them throughout the day to maintain your manly-buzz-of-death! Yes, they are probobly worse for you (I would imagine?), but really I do smoke a good amount less when I have a pack of the good ol' strikes (or Pall Mall unfizzled for shizzle).

I only smoke them socially, I had a couple yesterday. The flavour has indeed lost its "spark", but I still think that they're nifty. I too thought that they gave a mega hellbuzz, but they sure as fuck do not anymore.

I just had a morning ciggy, a Djarum because thats all I have right now. Let me tell you, I have complete nicotine blue balls. AND my throat is a bit uncomfortable because I take manly warhauls when I smoke. I'm going to give this pack of Djarums to the first hot goth chick I see on campus today, then get into her fishnets.

Yea I know, I bought a pack for nostalgia reasons. Just had my last Marb27 that I had stuffed in the Djarum pack. Ahhhhhhh, sweet sweet nicotine of death.

yeah in my younger days I was all over the djarum blacks (then moved on to sissy ones like splashes, one day I couldn't handle the nasty blacks anymore), then about 4 years ago I noticed there were the djarum Vanillas so I had to give them a try for old times sake, but blechhh, yes vanilla is nasty, but the festive clove flavor didn't do anything for me anymore other than make me nauseous.

and then at my chef class last night we had to chew on whole cloves, and (obviously) had the same flavor and mouth cooling experience as clove cigarettes..
so in conclusion, save your lungs and chew on cloves

lucky strikes always tasted like dirt to me, pall mall had a nice robust flavor while still causing pneumonia almost instantly.

quitting smoking sucks, but i can already breath better.
