DKFH-Thoughts

Yea, S2.0 is great! Wish they have a few more options but I've heard some of the expansions they have now are great!

Still haven't tried metal foundry. Looks appealing but I can't make myself pull the trigger on it.

To be honest, Avatar only is good enough.

But Metal Foundry for the cymbals (and kick if you use/blend 'em) and Avatar for the snare (and whichever you prefer for toms) is the ideal solution IMO.

I think its pretty damn cool.

everything in MF is a lot more raw and un-processed so it can be a bit daunting coming from the standard kit to one that needs a bit more work to sound good. the cymbals and toms are awesome, especially for more metal style than the standard Superior kit.
the kicks and snares are only "ok" though, i usually find myself using the MF cymbals and toms, but swapping out the kick and snare for some of the standard ones.

send me over some midi files and i'll run them through the MF kit quickly so you can hear what its all about.

I'd recommend S2.0

I'm not really a fan of MF. I'd rather use DFH than MF

I had the original dkfh by east west..i didnt like it..But..I hear that dkfh SUPERIOR 1 was good.I personally like SUPERIOR 2.0 w MF

i blend snare and bass from dkfh
with snare and bass from mf
and i really dig the sound i get

and if you need thin toms with shitloads of attack
then the dkfh toms are the choice :yuk:

MF has the sickest cymbals ever

That's trange. I always hated the kick and snare from DKFH the most. The toms from dkhf also sound shit compared to metal foundry imo
