It's a curiosity...Their the biggest band from my town in Italy and they're not known as they would deserve...Do you know and like them? They play "pagan metal" as their leader Ossian usually say...

yeah but Cadaveria now is Opera singer no more...She now sings in her project Cadaveria (The Shadows' Madame, and another album to come) Opera IX released "Maleventum" two years ago, more or less, with a male vocalist...But now they're searching for another male vocalist again 'cause he was more interested in his other band; they also changed drummer...

Opera IX is great i liked them better with Mistress Cadaveria as the singer but maleventum was a pretty good album. They are my favorite "black metal" band next to Dissection. I didn't know that Cadavaria had a side project going on i gotta check that out.

io sono di Biella (dove in un bel tempo andato il Babylonia ospitava un sacco di concerti!)...Capirai che gli Opera sono davvero la band principale della città! Anche se ammetto che i dischi vecchi erano meglio (non ho purtroppo però "The black opera") per fortuna il cantante se n'è andato spero trovino qualcosa di meglio (ma la loro intenzione è cmq prendere dei session...Insomma, vogliono definitivamente fare tutto Ossian, Vlad & Lunaris!)
Be' e tu che mi racconti? Qualche consiglio sulle band di Vicenza?

Hey scrivo di nuovo perchè ho fatto un giro sulle tue pagine web, quella della band e quella tua personale...COMPLIMENTI!Ottimi gusti in tutto devo dire...molto vari anche (non so, io trovo sciocco fossilizzarsi solo sul death, solo sul black, solo sul power...) sono contenta di vedere che non sono la sola...Mmm "Carmilla" e Stoker? innanzitutto grazie dei complimenti. Noi Gaia's Vestige siamo abbastanza attivi ultimamente per quanto riguarda i live. Il nostro genere è abbastanza cambiato rispetto a quello che puoi trovare sul sito... ora siamo un po' meno heavy e un po' più vicini a Dissection/Borknagar (chi l'avrebbe mai detto, eh?). Oltretutto in ogni nostro live suoniamo la cover di "Colossus".
Cmq, a gennaio probabilmente registreremo il nostro primo cd. Nel mentre, se ti può interessare il nostro vecchio singolo, contattami pure via email (tanto è gratis).

personally I laways thought they were way over rated, but then again it's been a while since I heard them last

I find them underrated. I only have Black Opera, but it sure as hell owns. I'm not very interested in an Opera IX without Cadaveria, tho. Her voice is very special, although her solo-project isn't too good. It's her growling that's cool! I've considered getting their earlier albums too, but I can't afford it yet.
