Do you think using strategy guides is cheating???

I was talking to one of my friends today, and he said that he doesn't like using strategy guides for games because he thinks it's cheating. Personally, I use online strategy guides all the time, for when I get stuck. And on RPG's, if I didn't use a strategy guide, there's tons of extra shit I would probably miss.

Opinions plz.

I personally think guides take the fun out of games, especially RPGs. You miss a lot of shit but whats the fun in being directed where to go. I only use www.gamefaqs.com when I'm completely and utterly frustrated because I'm stuck on a certain part. But I don't use them regularly.

Strategy guides, or walkthroughs? Strategy guides are good, walkthroughs tend to suck the fun out of games.

I feel that if it gets to the point where you are about to give up on the game, because of a place you are stuck at, you may have to.

I use walkthroughs occasionally but only with adventure games and only when I'm totally dumbfounded.

Of course using them is cheating. I use gamefaqs.com when I'm stuck though, but try not to.
