yeah, I think my main question here is, in the world of scene releases and online pirate releases of albums before they're actually in stores or in distributions, do you ever wait for the album to actually be in your hands before listening, or are you an impatient fucktard and download the bastard ahead of time like an archetypical internet teenager?
I'm willing to blind buy certain bands. So far I have not downloaded any music prior to the release date. Actually, I have not downloaded any music at all - I prefer the CD format.
Well, i downloaded Poe, and later purchased it, since they didn't have it at silver platters when i went there, so I downloaded it, and when i found a copy of it in a store, i payed my share to the band. I'm morally happy with myself:d
I can honestly say I download no music at all. I might listen to the 30 second samples they have on amazon, but that's as far as it goes. I much prefer having the cd with the booklet and art and whatnot.
I download alot. I buy alot. However, for me to go out to a record store and buy something, I'd have to listen to it first. As for blind buying, I buy a shit ton of albums at shows where there are vendors.
I don't buy metal records/cd's/tapes no more, as most of it really is bad or a clone of monkey products. I DID BUY THIS CD ON THE WEEKEND - Ministry Of Sound - Chillout Sessions Vol.8 (2005)
