Does anyone have the soundtrack to Silent Hill (part 1)?

while I greatly prefer RE (Im a fanboy:O ) I thought the atmosphere was much different and interesting. I always described the comparison as Resident Evil being SURVIVAL/horror and Silent Hill being survival/HORROR

RE2 is the best game of all time in my opinion

also Jaykeeley I can up all of the other SH soundtracks if you want

Why Trylakos rules: you request one song and he gives you 4 albums! :tickled:

I haven't even played Silent Hill 2 - 4. Which one is the best in the series?

I agree with Jerry, the controls on SH1 are awkward at first but you get used to it. The atmosphere in SH is very creepy, in a slightly nauseating way. The rust, blood, and shit dripping from the walls, the crucified corpses, just the grime of it all mixed with the spookiness.

But yeah, Res Evil series > anything (though Res Evil 4 was sub-par compared to the others). Bring back the zombies already.

Oh yeah, 28 Weeks Later coming out in a couple of weeks, starring fucking BEGBIE from Trainspotting!!! (Robert Carlyle - actor extraordinare)

nah man, it was just a different style of game, more action instead of the survival horror. the suspense of it came from the crazy amount of enemies that you could be facing at one time. i thought it was amazing, but the gamecube version is the best (if there are even any more)

but yeah RE2 > the rest... the first part of that game is legendary cool.

Yeah they are making a Wii port aswell:\ With a retardedly cheesy commerical I will post in a few hours.

My biggest gripe with RE4 was that it was TOO much of a departure. I think they should've made it with different characters and a different title. The greatness of RE2 was that it was just ordinary people having to survive, instead of this supersoldier who goes on a rescue mission against mutant monsters. etc

Atleast Devil May Cry wasn't the original RE4:erk:

/end incoherant rant

yeah that's true. the whole idea of the enemies in the game... the diseased townsfolk and the weird priest guys didn't really do it for me. the best part about the game is how you can aim anywhere and they basically respond to where you shoot them. too many coming at you? shoot one in the knee cap and he goes right down. fucking cool.

Yeah I really like the game control, even if I thought the "awkward" camera angles added a great effect to the other games.

Unfortunately I think the Wii RE coming this summer will be good for story only:erk:

stop talking about video games, I can't wait to get my hands on an xbox 360 and play gears of war. I'm supposed to be studying for my finals goddamnit.

No seriously. Survival/horror games are the best. I remember in RE2 in the interrogation room, I kept looking at the glass mirror with my shotgun ready. Then nothing happened... moved a little forward, picked up an object, turned to face the mirror again, BAM, freaking red creature jumping at me. I crapped in my pants.
