Does this demo sound washed up and undefined?

When I mix it in my studio it sounds mostly like I want it already but when I listen on the MacBook speakers the whole mix sounds like a big wash of things. As if there is a mono compatibility or phase issue or something.

How does it sound on your systems? And yes, I know that the vocals need to be redone. They are just scratch tracks to get the general idea down.

Is there heavy compression on the cymbals or drum mix?

It's sounds pretty good to me man. It sounds like there might be slightly too much compression though. Nice work.

AStacy2: thanks. I was purposely fucking around a lot with Voxengo Tapebus and Stillwell's The Rocket Compressor.

Still wondering why it sounds so weird on my MacBook ...

I'd certainly re-think the compression, everything is just squashed too much.
