My reaction was something like:

Nice controlled vibrato, I don't see that too often! - Very clean playing - A bit sloppy on the sweeping :/ - Not too accurate on fast picked runs (like JP...maybe you wanted to sound exactly like him? :P) - Overall very good cover

Now play something by MJR!

Mine was:

Nice vibrato and good right hand technique. Try to perfect your timing, I could detect a few notes that are slightly off tempo (e.g. the B at 0:14, and the D at 0:42). A good way to do this is to learn to listen equally to both your solo AND the backing music.

You guys are kinda picky. This was a great cover, albeit the only thing that bothered me was the one missed note on the tap. But that happens every now and again. I thought it was great. I was just listening to this solo today in my car, and then I saw this thread. Your tone is perfect. Can I ask what your gear and setup is?

This is the best take on the subject that I've come across.

But the topic starter - keep up good work :) You'll impress the girls anyway with what you've got so far :]
