DRUDKH - Anti-Urban 10" EP available for pre-order

Theres a rip at 45 now starting to go around but its gotta few other errors and its got some bad static at some points... the first track is alright, but Ashes is great. The vocal work on Ashes is straight out of Hate Forest. Hot stuff.

Still waiting till mine shows up till I make the final judgement.

Just as I posted that, the mailman showed up at the door.

Popped it right on, the first track sounds WAAAAAAAAY better than the rip.

Yeah, I've an old school fisher player hooked up to my sony receiver. It tends to not like 10in, but its doing the job for now.

I'll go in the studio later and blast it on some good equipment.

Haha, yeah, I was fucking blind. Found it shortly after my last post. Just needed to un-stupify for a moment.

47. Or 97. I think its a 4 though.

Low numbers = :kickass:

so what's the verdict on this, is it worth it? i mean, considering i'm paying in US dollars which are like monopoly money when it's priced in pounds/euros...

For me, its a yes...

It seems to be getting very mixed reviews. My one thought on that is, a lot of people just grab for the first rip they get the chance to get, and don't have an actual copy. So they're tossing it aside... after hearing a rip (at 33rpm).

I suggest getting the actual copy if you can. Its a whole shitload more lively then any vinyl rip could ever be.

The first track is quite good. It's a more hypnotic instrumental that churns from the start to end, moving in and out of the melodies. It actually reminds me of the melodies on the beginning of Songs Of Grief & Solitude. Ashes, the second track, is fucking fantastic. It's exactly what you expect from Drudkh, but yet it isn't a copy of their early stuff.

Exactly.

So how much does this actually cost post paid in terms of real money (i.e. USD)? I think I'll be ordering it tomorrow.

keen to see if the new album will be following down a similar approach, whats with the quick cutting off of the songs, it's pissing me off, I feel like i'm listening to Sorrow.

Yeah, that bugs me on Ashes, specially because I think they could still go on further, but it still rules.

I paid around 20. I didn't really pay attention to shipping and the exchange rate, so it adds up quickly.

Okay, I just ordered it, €11.38 with shipping, which comes out to be approximately $15.50. I can live with that. Don't know about the exchange rate though, so I'll see what my statement says.
