what do people think of the production on this? I really liked the fuller production on Blood in our Wells, but this one seems a little empty to me. Thing is, I'm not sure if that's necessarily a bad thing yet. I just haven't allowed the vibe of the music yet meld with the colder sound.

Estrangement: did anyone notice the loud noise in track 3 at the 3:35 mark just before the second part of the guitar solo? I find it out of place and distracting.

after further listens, i've decided that the only thing wrong with this album is the production, and once I got past that, its deserving of a place in my top 10 of 07. the great drudkh elements are there, just gotta really listen for it.

I enjoy it and never really had an issue with the production. It doesn't leap out to me as a unique or even "must own" release, but it's solid nevertheless.

That's going to be the problem with anything they release now imo. That is the main reason i have never fully appreciated TSR. It is actually almost as good as BioW but the production doesnt let you hear it.

this hasn't grown on me at all since getting it really...i mean, my first impression was a good one but it hasn't really revealed anything deeper to me. i agree with the unrealistic expectations but even so i feel like it's a slightly inferior reprise of the forgotten legends sound...
