Hey Guys!
Since i´m getting more interested in weird drumloop programming like the abovementioned artists,i´m curious what kind of gear they´re using.VSTi´s,sequencers, real instruments?!?
Any tipps?
thanks,pat

Check out native instruments synthetic drums 2, it's a sample collection

then you need something to run the samples from, like NI battery or whatever

thanks guys!
i´m also sure that radiohead use "real" instruments, but i guess there are software emulations of these instruments around, aren´t there...i often here about this 909 thing
what do you think about the cubase LM 7?is that something to go for?!?

and what about this new EZ drummer "claustrophobic"-thing?i´ve heard it´s for more experimental stuff

and do you guys have a web source for more experimental MIDI drumloops?
bye,pat

The majority of drum loops are simply sampled from other recordings (not technically legal, but everyone does it). So go on a listening spree and grab all drum lines you like and start messing around with them: make the first beat start a different beat from the drum line, only use some of it, or slice it up and create a new one.
