Drum Question

I am curiouso. After listening to Mind Revolution oodles of noodles of times, I am quite certain that one of the drums being used almost sounds wood-ish(note how I didn't say woody here for a very good reason...).

Is this some kinda weird never-before heard drum? Did you fellas fiddle with the heads? Is Joakim simply beating on a desk with a drumstick?
