What drums would you recommend for someone who is looking to start playing (me), ive played bass guitar for 3 years but i fancy having a go at drums. So...what do you recommend?

thanks in advance

I play Tama but i´ve also played with Pearl in the past, pretty much the creme dela creme among drumbrands,if we talk specific models there´s tons of them.

I started like most people on a normal run of the mill 5pc. If your into metal make sure you get a double pedal with it, but don't worry about double bassing until you get a little more confortable on the kit. Tama and Pearl make good entry level sets. Heres a couple:

Cheap DB set: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Mapex-QR-7-Piece-Double-Bass-Drum-Set?sku=449198

This is the pedal I've been using for years and haven't had any troubles with it at all, great product.

But a tip is to learn how to play with just one pedal first,it will gain you later on to be able to lean against a good foundation

There is a musician's forum, for the love of god.
That said, Dave Lombardo uses Tama. That's all I know about drums.
