In another thread someone mentioned that Drumagog can output a midi file that you could go and edit later and retrigger with Drumagog which seems like the absolute most painless way to ensure perfect triggering and replacement... I bought apTrigga because it was cheap and it works awesome, but it doesn't have this MIDI sending feature... Anyone know of any other cheap or free VSTs that will output MIDI from an audio input? Not like converting audio notes to midi notes, just create a MIDI note that rhythmically matches the audio sample based on a set threshold for it to trigger... Or alternatively, can anyone think of a clever way to do this maybe using a gate and some other kind of MIDI creating plugin...?
