The playing seems a bit choppy and he's not very consistent, tempo wise... just watching him makes me feel kind of uncomfortable - super jerky??

when you say jerky are you talking about his playing or just the movements?
We recorded it with a shitty camera, so the video quality is not great as you can see. It definitely looks skippy
I can upload the audio of that take with a metronome if you're curious about the tightness (?)

His technique just looks like he's abruptly going from piece to piece (particularly from normal beats to fills).
All good - he's a solid drummer and all, I just know I'd end up editing it if it were my demo/ep.

He usually plays way more chill-y and soulless-ly but he just got into it this time (!?)
