This guy hits his drums kiiiiiiiiiiiiiinda hard, don't you think? I'm not sure if he even has one whole cymbal either... could also be a sign of a hard hitting drummer.

Thats one hell of a hard hitting drummer, got quite alot of cymbals for someone who just smashes fuck out of them.

Gotta be honest I can't stand this whole youtube culture of everyone videoing themselves playing other peoples songs in their bedroom, just smacks of attention seeking to me.

And though that girls epicly brutal at screaming, to me they just sound like everything thats wrong with music atm. Loads of dischordant noise followed by stupid dancy bits. The clean bit in the middle is actually pretty good but as a whole the different parts to the song just dont fit together.

Worst thing is, I can't decide if that band are meant to be taken seriously or as a take the piss, lol.

yeah, gotcha. really weird band but actually it is not as chaotic as it seems and the guitarwork at times is just plain awesome. I don't like them anyways but had to give em credit here

I watched some more vids of that guy I posted, and he can play some wicked shit! But he just hits so damn hard... it's meaningless. He is beyond the point where drummers hit the cymbals too hard so they just overpower everything... you know? He's beyond that, he's hitting the cymbals so hard that they choke from the force, they don't transmit any sound. I wonder how the fuck this guy would sound if he was in the studio!

I like the hard hitting but dislike that musical style.

I always find myself cranking (not deafening...) hh/ride/oh mics in the drummer's headphones during tracking, and turning down snare/kick/toms. Makes them play how you want them to

God, those gravity blasts at the beginning were terrible. He can play fairly well, but his technique just looks so stiff.

Are you kidding me, he uses extremely lot of his whole limbs for every hit, looks like he's made of concrete

Yeah, I agree with the above, snare and toms love to get beaten up, it just sounds freakin' good. This is not the case with cymbals though... if they sounded good, then sure, hitting 'em hard would atleast have some positive effect.

Btw, I didn't mean to make this thread to talk shit about this guy haha, it feels like that's what it's about right now but I just wanted to show you how goddamn hard he hits and that he has like no cymbal that is whole. I just found it funny

It's nice that he can hit hard, but he would be smart use good technique at the same time.
