Ok I decided to go with Battery3 instead of EZDrummer, are the drum samples that people post around here able to be used in Battery3?

I've been debating between these 2.
Got the battery 3 demo and am able to load samples into it but I guess I need to configure it with DP and then load them into DP's drum editor in order to program them like a step sequencer? It's all confusing again. I've really gotta read the manuals.
I've heard ezdrummer is much easier to work with but they don't have a demo. Does it act as a step sequencer? Is the set up the into DP much easier?

Dumb question. Is Battery the same concept as Aptrigga and Drumagog?
No no, it's a softsampler specifically for percussion samples

I was also thinking to buy Ez or Battery at first, then I realized that I could just update my Sonar to Producer Edition to get a nice drum sampler. The factory samples don´t matter that much (i guess they don´t suck either) because I´ve got some great samples here and made some my own.
Which reminds me that a "share a sample"-thread would be a great sticky...

Can you tell me more about this drum sampler you speak of in Sonar?
I have producer 5, and I'm a noob to the whole drum sample/midi activity. I'm hoping I have something, I have yet to discover to work with within Sonar.

There will also be an expansion kit with drummer Adrian Ost from Powerman 5000. Its going to be killer. All free upgrades for current users.

To my knowledge it's a virtual instroment. I am unaware of step programing.
My guess is that it works alot like DFHS.

That's how I'm used to programming drums, with a drum machine. Programming drums with a DAW is greek to me. (right now)

I would love to have a basic app (independent of any particular DAW or sampler) that allows me to compose midi drums with the simple, straightforward functionality of an early '90s Yamaha drum machine.
