Its sounds a little boxy, and there's some weird "metallicness" to the highend. Why don't you try double tracking and see how that sounds?

A little of that is the DSL which has a brittle sounding highend, but a lot is the booth. I need to find a bigger room.

Here's the double track. Audix L45, SM57 R45 phase aligned and a very soft lowpass starting around 8k.

Yeah, there's a lot of mud in that low end.

See if this tightens the low end. I cut ~3dB at 106Hz and 168Hz.

It makes it better. However, there's still room for improvement in the whole tone.
Did you use a tubescreamer in front of the amp?

As for that second tone:

I did try with the tubescreamer and it makes the DSL way too sizzly. I'm going to try with the DOD250 and try some more angle on the SM57, it seems to cut some of it's sizzle.

The podfarm tone was just there to show how off their model is from the real one. I used the same settings as the amp.
