Why are the mighty OPETH allowing dt to headline over them???What's next an OPETH tour with symphoney x headlining???

OPETH need to be touring with better bands or bands that are more "in league" with extreme metal like: MorbidAngel,Testament,High on Fire,the Sword,Enslaved,CelticFrost,KingDiamond etc!!!

I'd have to say... the "only" way such an impressive band as OPETH should ever "not" headline would be if they toured with JudasPriest,IronMaiden,Tool or {even}Metallica.

OPETH rank much higher than dt in the metal community.
 
It's obvious that you guys are young, and don't know too much about musicianship to make uneducated remarks as these. Nu metal? ummm...ok. Nu metal, too much talent? Ok, two chords, and jumping on stage is regarded as talent? And besides, if you've seen Opeth before, you'd know that they do a few small tours with other big/established bands, and a few festivals, and then come back with their own tour.
 
Why does soooooooooooo much of the latest dream theater sound like "...and justice for all?"Am I the only one that noticed this???Oh well,they are flat out trend jumpers,dorks and music geeks.

Im 39 and dream theater have continued to be lame prog rubbish since the bit hit "pull me under" back in 1991.Opeth are lightyears ahead of them.Dream theater are mearly bandwagon jumpers.With a cock rock posuer singer.dream theater=cheezeball metal!!!It's a fuckin sin that they are headlining over Opeth.Im throwing a waterbaloon full of piss before I leave after Opeth's set.So they can kick me out as I laugh my ass off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
God, I think you are next to the most ignorant person I've ever encountered on UM.

First of all, your opinion is very biased. Just because Opeth has better music, it doesnt mean that more people like it. Alot of people have shitty taste in music.

2nd, Dream Theater are more popular than Opeth. Ghost Reveries has sold 90,000 copies of GR since it was released. DT's Systematic Chaos sold nearly 40,000 their first week. This is in the US, and not the world..

3rd, dont post the same message twice. People can read, and dont give a shit for your opinion.
 
Ugh...not a big Dream Theater fan. I get a kick out of the folks who claim that Opeth and Dream Theater sound the same.....lamesauce
 
It's a good thing nobody from Opeth (or anybody here in general) gives a fuck about what you have to say.
