And I like it. James's vocals are getting better than they have been on some of the more recent DT albums.

First listen just now.

The production is better than the last album imo.
And i agree on the vocals.
I love the whole solo section, it keeps the song interesting.
I would have lked it it they didnt go back to the chorus so, neatly if you know what i mean.
They should have differed the actual riffing in it to keep it cool, and not.......oh its the chorus again.

James really sounds a bit like Lane Stayley in the beginning of this. I like it so far, main riff is pretty awesome.

Dream Theater said they were releasing a song a week before the album is out. So 8 songs = 8 weeks before release. Both songs I have are quite good imo. I like A Nightmare to Remember better than Passage...but if these 2 songs are whats to come I do hope the rest of the album is like this. Reminds me of Scenes Part 2. And some Train of Thought.

 

[Blackwater Demon]

finally got to hear this. Started off strong but then the singer started and ruined it. The fact that he is trying to hide his shitty voice makes him even more shitty in my book.
