Just thought you would like to know.
Played a shit load of older stuff, only one song off of Addicted. Pretty cool to hear that older shit played live. Didn't even bother staying for BTBAM, the place was packed and I don't care for them anyway.

If the tour is coming through your town, you have to go check out Devin.

BTW his new 7-string looks much better in person than it does in pics.

I'm jealous, would love to see this. Especially in the package with the godly Cynic - how were they?

What did he play off Addicted? Supercrush!? I've fallen in love with that record recently so I'd wish he would pick up Anneke and play more of it.

He plays Supercrush!, and actually sings Anneke's parts for the verses - it was fucking epic.

Cynic, when I saw them, were super tight and well rehearsed, had insanely good energy, and just overall put on one of the most enjoyable shows I've ever seen. The yoga sections between songs didn't hurt, either!

Care to elaborate?

There were no yoga sessions when I saw them with Opeth in 2008. But I was fucking hammered and busy making out with some chick, so something might have slipped my attention. ;)

Cynic live was a transcendental experience.

Paul, at least at the LA date, had the crowd follow him with some stretching and breathing excercises.

Yep they did that here in Cleveland too, I was kinda like WTF at first but then I saw a bunch of chicks stretching and it wasn't so bad:rock:

Cynic was spot on, and it's cool to see someone who actually uses a Steinberger. And Scale the Summit was good also, I had no idea they were an instrumental band. I'm going to have to pick up their cd.

And yes, Devin played Supercrush and it was epic. He sang Anneke's parts, and told a lot of jokes during it too. He played a song from Deconstruction, and if the rest of the album is going to be that heavy, then we are in for a treat.

Dude Ive seen a few posters around venues that we have been doing on the tour Im on and FUCK Im keen to see him! Im mixing him in Auckland, New Zealand in a couple of months time, whenever he is coming.. March or something? I dunno.. But so keen!!
