I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the diffrence in tone is with the Triple and Dual Rec's. I have a/b'd them side by side with the same cab and settings and they sound eaxctly the same. the only thing i noticed is you have to turn the triple up louder for it to start breaking up like the dual does at a lower volume.

Lol, it's been answered here 1,000's of times but before everyone gets crazy on you I'll asnwer it for ya.

They are pretty much exactly the same. Same circuitry and everything, the only difference is that the triple has more headroom which isn't necessarily a good thing because as you noticed you have to push the triple harder to break up. So in theory if you play them both at the same volume, the dual's tubes will be breaking up more (which i love.) And I don't think anyone in their right mind would ever say the dual can't get loud enough so i personally don't see any reason to go for a triple.
